Laurie is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from White Station High School, and received her B.A. with honors from Hendrix College in 1998. Laurie spent her final year of college studying abroad at St. Peter’s College, Oxford University, England. Laurie returned to Memphis to attend the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she graduated in 2001. During law school, Laurie received the Dean’s award for best legal memorandum.

Laurie began practicing law in 2001, working for both David E. Caywood and S. Denise McCrary before starting her own firm. Laurie has over 10 years experience in the area of family law, and has successfully litigated many complex family law issues. Laurie started her own firm in 2010, and has continued to focus her practice on family law matters. Laurie is dedicated to excellence in the practice of all aspects of family law and to commitment to her clients.
